College baseball’s slate this Tuesday includes a top 10 matchup between two in-state rivals and former Pac-12 foes. In Corvallis, No. 6 Oregon (30-12) will be visiting No. 7 Oregon State (32-10) at Goss Stadium At Coleman Field. Oregon won all three of those games. Two of them were close, with the Ducks winning 4-2 on Friday and 3-2 on Sunday. The middle game on Saturday was more lopsided, with Oregon winning 13-1.
With those three wins over the weekend, Oregon has now won seven of its last nine games. Those three wins over ranked opponents really helped the Ducks in the national polls, as seeding for the College World Series starts to creep into the picture. They went from being ranked No. 13 last week to No. 6 this week.
Prior to last weekend, Oregon State had won 12 games in a row. That includes series wins over Gonzaga, Cal State Northridge, Cal State Fullerton, and UC Irvine. The Beavers still fell from No. 3 to No. 7 in the D1Baseball.com poll after last weekend’s games.
First pitch on Tuesday night is set for 8:30 p.m. ET. Coverage of the game can be found on CBS KOIN.
