Oregon State is 47-14-1 on the season. The team hosted the Corvallis Regional, but looked to be in danger after a 6-4 loss to Saint Mary’s to open the weekend. The Beavers bounced back from there, though, beating TCU 7-2, Saint Mary’s 20-3 in a huge revenge effort, and USC 14-1 and 9-0 to advance. Then in the Super Regional, the team defeated Florida State in three games, winning 14-10 in the final contest.
Louisville is 40-22 on the season. In the Regional round, the team swept through without a loss, beating East Tennessee State 8-3, Vanderbilt 3-2, and Wright State 6-0 to advance to the Super Regional. In that round, the Cardinals split the series with Miami through the first two games, then took the Hurricanes 3-2 to advance to the College World Series.
