The defending champion Rice Owls (17-16, 7-11) and South Florida Bulls (22-10,13-4) face off on Wednesday with an AAC Championship on the line. Rice is going for its second straight championship. No. 3 seed South Florida beat North Texas 58-48, while No. 9 seed Rice beat Temple 67-49 in its semifinal matchup.

How to Watch the AAC Tournament Final: Rice vs. South Florida

While South Florida had an off night offensively against North Texas in the semifinal, it was all about the team’s defense. L’or Mputu, the AAC’s Most Improved Player, collected a career-high 21 rebounds, the fifth-highest total in program history. Overall, USF out-rebounded North Texas 48-40.
Malia Fisher was the secret weapon for the Owls. She led the way with 18 points, nine rebounds, two steals, two blocks, and an assist, while Aniah Alexis added 14 points, three rebounds, two steals, and an assist in the win over Temple.
The Bulls swept Rice during the regular season, capturing a 74-64 win on Dec. 29 in Houston, then winning an exciting 82-77 triple-overtime thriller on Feb. 12 at the Yuengling Center.
