No. 2 South Carolina (22-1, 10-0) and No. 4 Texas (23-2, 9-1) meet on Sunday in a huge women’s SEC college basketball game.

Texas is looking for revenge after South Carolina won the first meeting of these two teams back in January. That game was all Gamecocks, with Dawn Staley’s program winning 67-50.
Chloe Kitts and Te-Hina Paopao tied for the South Carolina scoring lead with 11 points each while Joyce Edwards was right behind them with 10 points. Edwards, a freshman, has really come on strong recently for the Gamecocks, adding another dimension to this team.
As for Texas, the game saw the team shoot just 27.8% from the floor. South Carolina focused on stopping Texas star Madison Booker and succeeded at it, holding her to seven points on 3-for-19 shooting. Rori Harmon wasn’t much better, scoring nine points on 4-for-11 shooting.
Texas is undefeated at home though and hasn’t lost since that South Carolina game. This is a perfect opportunity for Texas to get the upset victory over arguably the best team in the country.
