The Tigers have been hot since the first pitch of the season and are currently leading the ACC standings with a conference record of 11-3 and an overall record of 33-5. With Saturday night’s victory, the team extended its win streak to eight games and will look to continue building upon that. Reed Garris picked up his third win of the season on Saturday to remain undefeated on the mound after striking out two batters and giving up just one hit in 2.1 innings of work. Collin Priest paced the Clemson offense, going 2-for-4 with four RBI after hitting a three-run homer in the first to open the scoring and following with an RBI double in the second. Josh Paino and Jacob Jarrell also hit homers with Jarrell using his to secure the team’s win in the bottom of the sixth.

Coming into the series, Stanford and Clemson had only played each other twice in their history and the Cardinal held a 2-0 record. Now, the Tigers have evened the score and the series is all tied up. Tune in Sunday to see which team is able to take the lead.
