Wisconsin and BYU will face off on Saturday night in the second round of the 2025 NCCA tournament, in a game that will air live from the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.

This is a No. 3 vs. No. 6 matchup in the East Region, with Wisconsin the three-seed and BYU the six-seed. The Badgers have had a great season, sitting at 27-9 heading into Saturday’s matchup.
After losing in the Big Ten tournament to Michigan 59-53, Wisconsin bounced back on Thursday, defeating No. 14 seed Montana 85-66 to open tournament play. Guard John Blackwell led the way with 19 points, five rebounds, and three assists while forward Steven Crowl had 18 points, four rebounds, and two assists in the dominant showing for the Badgers.

Meanwhile, BYU is 25-9 to this point in the season, in head coach Kevin Young’s first season at the helm. The former Phoenix Suns assistant coach has done a magnificent job in his first season of coaching college basketball. The Cougars opened their 2025 NCAA tournament run by defeating VCU 80-71. Leading the way for BYU in the win was forward Richie Saunders with 16 points and four rebounds. Guard Egor Demin also had 15 points and four rebounds in the victory.
The Badgers and Cougars play different styles of basketball stylistically, setting up for a interesting matchup when these two proud programs face off on Saturday.
