Illinois men’s basketball will get a rematch, of sorts, with UConn.
The Fighting Illini will play UConn on Nov. 28 at Madison Square Garden in New York, according to CBS Sports college basketball insider Jon Rothstein. UConn beat Illinois, 77-52 in the Elite Eight of the 2024 NCAA tournament.
This is the fourth season in a row Illinois play at MSG. Last season, Illinois lost to Duke, 110-67 as part of the SentinelOne Classic on Feb. 22.
