
The pandemic of injury-faking in college football has drawn the attention of the NCAA Football Rules Committee, which has finally forwarded some recommended action on rules, timeouts and penalties for such situations. If approved, those modifications could be in place for the 2025 season.
The sight of players falling to the ground in order to stop play or create an opportunity for substitution have become more common than flops in soccer, drawing disgust and derision from fans, coaches and administrators alike, sparking some of the recommended chances.
