Jarren Duran and Rafael Devers are finalists for AL Silver Slugger awards

Jarren Duran and Rafael Devers of the Red Sox were named Silver Slugger finalists in the American League Sunday.

In the outfield category, Duran is competing with New York’s Aaron Judge and Juan Soto, Baltimore’s Anthony Santander, and Detroit’s Riley Greene. At third base, Devers is contending against Houston’s Alex Bregman and Cleveland’s José Ramírez.

Duran filled up the stat sheet this season, batting .285/.342/.492 with an .834 OPS and 21 homers. His 48 doubles and 14 triples led the majors, which should give him a chance to win the award.

Judge and Soto, who combined for 99 home runs, are both strong contenders and are likely to claim two of the three awards given to outfielders. Though Santander belted 44 homers, he hit just .235, which should give Duran the upper hand for his first Silver Slugger award.

At third base, Ramírez should be the favorite. Devers hit .272/.354/.516 with an .871 OPS and 28 homers despite a shoulder injury that limited his action at the end of the season.

But Ramírez’s year was exceptional, as he hit .279/.335/.537 with an .872 OPS and 39 homers, leading the Guardians to the ALCS.

Winners will be announced Nov. 12.
