The Ohio State Buckeyes are coming off a national title-winning season thanks to the elite play from stars such as wide receiver Jeremiah Smith. Smith lands at the top of CSN’s Top 100 Returning Players list.

Jeremiah Smith: Yet Another Superstar in Columbus
Smith exploded onto the scene in Columbus as a freshman and did not look back. He is one of a number of great, pro-ready receivers to come out of Ohio State in recent years.
Marvin Harrison Jr., Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, Terry McLaurin, and others are flourishing at the NFL level right now because of their time in Columbus.
Smith earned All-American honors as a freshman after catching 76 passes for over 1,300 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Much like receiver Ryan Williams at Alabama, Smith was yet another freshman who grabbed headlines week in and week out for ridiculous play after ridiculous play.
He will have his fair share of NFL teams that want his services in the coming years when he becomes ready to enter the NFL Draft.
His elite playmaking ability is why he is ranked first on College Sports Network’s list of top returning players.
Can the Buckeyes Repeat as Champions?
It is due to players like Smith returning that gives the Buckeyes a great chance to win another title in 2025.
While the team will have to figure out its quarterback situation with Will Howard likely heading to the NFL, the ceiling is still very high for head coach Ryan Day and Co.
Of course, they will have to face the likes of Texas, Michigan, Penn State, and Washington on their 2025 slate.

But with the way Day and Co. have run the ship in Columbus during his tenure, the Buckeyes should be contending for both a Big Ten and a national title at minimum.
The promotion of wide receiver coach Brian Hartline to offensive coordinator and the hiring of new defensive coordinator Matt Patricia should yield solid rewards for the reigning national champs in their quest for greatness again in 2025.
