The Kansas Jayhawks have championship aspirations every single year in men’s basketball. The Jayhawks fell short of that goal in 2025 and haven’t won a national title since 2022. Kansas has won four national championships and 12 Big 12 Tournament titles in its history, so building a championship roster via the transfer portal will be paramount for Bill Self and his staff. Senior Hunter Dickinson led the team in points and rebounds last season, so Self will have the difficult task of finding players capable of replacing that production.

With the high expectations that come along with wearing a Kansas jersey, finding the right pieces to make the Jayhawks competitive next season will be critical for the coaching staff. Which college basketball transfers are the Jayhawks targeting this month? Kansas basketball roster news

Self has added some much-needed depth via the transfer portal. Kansas landed a commitment from Jayden Dawson, who started all 32 games for Loyola-Chicago this past season and averaged 13.9 points, earning All-Atlantic 10 second team honors. He connected on 86 3-pointers while shooting 36.3% from beyond the arc. He spent the first three seasons of his career at Loyola and will have one remaining season of eligibility for Kansas.

The Jayhawks also signed Tre White, giving Kansas its second transfer portal addition of the offseason. White is a seasoned veteran and started in 31 of the 32 games he played in for Illinois last season. He averaged 10.5 points per game last season while knocking down 50.7% of his field goals. He made 32.9% of his 3-point attempts and also averaged 5.5 rebounds per game. Get the latest Kansas basketball roster news at Phog.net.
