Kiki Iriafen graduated from USC and won her first WNBA regular season game 30 hours later

Kiki Iriafen graduates from USC and from college basketball to the pro game

It was quite a week for former USC Trojan Kiki Iriafen. The No. 4 pick in the 2025 WNBA draft had more on her plate than merely preparing for the start of her professional basketball career. Iriafen had to graduate from USC. As USA TODAY Sports points out, Iriafen had a graduation to celebrate before she played her first-ever WNBA regular-season game with the Washington Mystics:

“Kiki Iriafen celebrated her graduation from the USC Marshall School of Business for a few happy moments after the Washington Mystics practice Thursday, just a day away from the team’s season opener. Iriafen donned a black graduation cap and got some video for social media along with fellow rookie Lucy Olsen, who is graduating from Iowa.

“Iriafen, 22, has earned her master’s degree in entrepreneurship and innovation from USC after getting an undergraduate degree at Stanford in product design and mechanical engineering. Last month USC announced Iriafen was the Academic All-America Team Member of the Year for Division I.”

Graduate from USC on Thursday. Win a WNBA regular-season debut on Friday. Not a bad week for Kiki Iriafen, wouldn’t you say?
