In the audio shared by the radio station on their X account, you can hear Kenneth Sims’ friend Mike Hardge say,
“He(Kenneth Sims) had passed away peacefully. But it was still one of those things that’s really hard to believe because here’s a man, that lived life to the fullest, and his story is well-documented, but he was one of those guys, that would definitely give you his shirt off his back. He was one of those guys that really loved Texas Athletics.
He was the pride and joy of Texas Athletics. And I was glad to be a part of his journey into the College Football Hall of Fame. Because I was invited by Kenny Simms to go to the College Football Hall of Fame with him with his family, my family. And it was one of the proudest moments that I ever got a chance to see him be recognized for his excellence.”
