Mel Kiper Jr. has three Alabama football players selected in the first two rounds of his latest 2025 NFL mock draft. It’s not in the order everyone expects, though.
Former Crimson Tide linebacker Jihaad Campbell is the first Alabama player off the board for Kiper at No. 17 to the Cincinnati Bengals. Kiper calls Campbell “a complete football player.”
Campbell is Kiper’s only Alabama player selected in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft. Campbell would be the Crimson Tide’s 17th-straight draft with at least one first-round pick. It would also be Alabama’s first draft without multiple first-round selections since 2016.
That’s when Kiper’s draft gets interesting for Alabama.
Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe is Kiper’s next Crimson Tide player selected, going to the New York Giants at No. 34. Kiper said Milroe would “fit well in New York,” joining the same room as Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston. Milroe would be the fifth quarterback selected behind Miami’s Cam Ward (No. 1 Tennessee Titans), Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders (No. 9 New Orleans Saints), Ole Miss‘ Jaxson Dart (No. 26 Los Angeles Rams) and Louisville’s Tyler Shough (No. 33 Cleveland Browns).
Tyler Booker, the Alabama guard who many view as a potential first round pick, is not selected in Kiper’s latest mock draft until No. 47 to the Arizona Cardinals, calling Booker “strong value” and a potential rookie starter. Kiper has Booker picked behind North Dakota State G/C Grey Zabel (No. 22 Los Angeles Chargers), Ohio State’s Donovan Jackson (No. 24 Minnesota Vikings) and Arizona’s Jonah Savaiinaea (No. 45 Indianapolis Colts).
The 2025 NFL draft will run from April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
