
State College’s Michael Powell sent the home crowd home happy Wednesday afternoon, driving in the winning run on a hard single to left, earning the Little Lions the 2-1 victory.

The game was largely a pitcher’s duel, with State College pitcher Cody Norman starting the game on the mound. Norman hurled 4 innings, giving up 1 earned run on 4 hits and punching out 3. Oskar Williams finished out the final 3 innings, giving up just 1 hit.
The Little Lions’ other run came on an error, as Sebastian Rhodes was able to cross the plate.
State College improves to 5-3 with the win, as Chambersburg drops to 3-9.
