Woodson, 48, won the 1997 Heisman Trophy and was the first defensive player to win the award. He won the award as a dynamic player starring on Michigan’s defense who also played offense and returned kicks. Woodson had 11 catches for 231 yards and scored three offensive TDs that season while also return 33 punts to go along with seven interceptions.
That performance propelled him to the No. 4 pick in the 1998 NFL Draft. Woodson played 11 seasons with the Raiders over two stints with a seven-year tenure in Green Bay in between.
Over the course of his NFL career, Woodson was a nine-time Pro Bowl selection and was a first-team All-Pro selection three times. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021 along with Peyton Manning, Calvin Johnson, John Lynch and Drew Pearson.
