Michigan State, Michigan women fall in Associated Press college basketball poll

The Michigan State and Michigan women’s basketball teams each fell in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 poll.

Michigan State (11-1) fell four spots to No. 19 after suffering its first loss of the season, 82-67 to Alabama in the West Palm Beach Classic.

Michigan (10-2) split its two games last week, falling to then-No. 10 Oklahoma, 72-62, before bouncing back to drub Akron, 96-55, in falling from No. 20 to No. 23.

The top three teams — UCLA, South Carolina and Notre Dame — remain unchanged in the poll, released Monday. USC moved up to No. 4, a leap of three spots.
