The matchup between No. 22-ranked TCU and Michigan kicks off at 4 p.m. ET on Feb. 21, part of the 2025 Amegy Bank College Baseball Series at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
Both teams have shown promise early in the season, and this game is sure to deliver exciting action on the diamond.
TCU enters the game with a perfect 4-0 record. The Horned Frogs are aiming for a seventh College World Series appearance in 15 years, with a talented roster led by key returners and a promising crop of newcomers. Shortstop Anthony Silva, who hit .330 with seven home runs in 2023, returns for his junior season after a slight sophomore slump. Outfielder Sam Myers, who led TCU with a .353 batting average last season, will also be a key contributor.
One of TCU’s most exciting additions is two-way player Noah Franco, a blue-chip recruit from IMG Academy. Franco’s versatility as both a pitcher and a hitter adds depth to the Horned Frogs’ lineup. TCU’s pitching staff, bolstered by Wichita State transfer Tommy LaPour, will be looking to keep Michigan’s offense at bay.
Michigan, on the other hand, enters the game with a perfect 4-0 record, including an impressive opening day upset over No. 2-ranked Virginia. The Wolverines are led by players like Kurt Barr, who posted a team-leading 3.41 ERA last season, and Will Rogers, a two-way player who is a key contributor both on the mound and at the plate.
