Good morning, Mets fans!

Mets players, like Mark Vientos and David Peterson, reacted with joy to Sean Manaea’s re-signing. He seems like a great clubhouse dude, and the 2024 remainders in the clubhouse are happy he’s back.

In the early morning hours of Monday, the Mets agreed to re-sign Manaea to a three-year contract worth $75 million. Will Sammon of The Athletic reports that $23.25 million of the contract will be deferred over 10 years from 2035-2044.
