National media, Dawgs247 predictions for Georgia vs. Florida

The Georgia Bulldogs got a valuable bye week in Week 9 as they gear up for a challenging final stretch of the regular season. After a brief break from the action, the Bulldogs are back this week with a neutral-site showdown against one of their biggest rivals.

No. 2 Georgia (6-1, 4-1 SEC) will take on Florida (4-3, 2-2 SEC) at 3:30 p.m. ET in Jacksonville’s EverBank Stadium in a game that will be televised by ABC. Both teams enter off a bye week. The Bulldogs took care of Texas 30-15 in Week 8, while the Gators beat Kentucky 48-20.

“I think they’re playing their best football,” Kirby Smart said of the Gators. “I think they have a really, really good roster. A lot of players we’ve recruited and recruited against them. But they’re playing their best football, and obviously a talented group. Really a lot of great size across the front on the offensive and defensive lines. I think Billy [Napier] knows that’s where the key is in the SEC in terms of length and size. They play a lot of players on defense. They’ve had a lot of guys play up front.

“The three losses have come to three teams that are ranked in the top 10 — at least I think they are. I don’t even know. But they’re really good teams, and they played those teams well.”

The Bulldogs are hoping to carry the momentum forward from their win in Austin two weeks ago. While Carson Beck struggled a bit and threw 3 interceptions, the Bulldogs’ defense terrorized Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers as well as Arch Manning, who briefly played in the second quarter. The Bulldogs ended the night with 10 tackles for loss, 7 sacks, and 4 forced turnovers in a win over the nation’s top-ranked team.

Georgia enters Jacksonville as a significant favorite once again, but everyone knows that anything can happen in this rivalry game. Here’s a closer look at how media members think Saturday’s action will play out:
