The 2025 NCAA baseball tournament bracket is here, so let’s make some picks.
I picked the winners of every regional, super regional, teams headed to Omaha for the Men’s College World Series, and the national champion.
Nashville/Hattiesburg Regional
I have Vanderbilt making it out of its regional, through Louisville. The Commodores have been on fire the second half of the season and are the most battle-tested team after winning the SEC tournament.
I see Vanderbilt playing Alabama in the super regionals, an upset pick over Southern Miss, who beat the Tide earlier in the season. I am flipping the narrative, thinking the Tide will have some extra motivation.
Tallahassee/Corvallis Regional
I have Florida State making it out of their regional to play Oregon State for a trip to Omaha. The Beavers have a tough regional, but I am picking them to make it out.
Chapel Hill/Eugene Regional
North Carolina has some tough teams, with Oklahoma and a hot Nebraska, which won the Big Ten tournament. But, how the Tar Heels are playing right now, I have them making out to face Oregon in the super regionals, which will be a great matchup.
Conway Regional
Another upset pick.
I am going to take Florida in the Coastal Carolina regional. We’ve seen this happen before, and we know the Gators can get really hot in the postseason.
Auburn Regional
I almost picked NC State to make it out of Auburn’s regional, but I am sticking with the Tigers, who have the No. 1 strength of schedule (No. 3 RPI). A lot of proven success.
Austin/Los Angeles Regional
On the top right side of the bracket, I have the Longhorns making it out to face UCLA in the super regionals. If we get that, what a fun matchup with some star power.
Oxford/Athens Regional
I have Georgia Tech making it out of Oxford.
The Jackets could have arguably been a regional host. The extra motivation at the right time could help them make it out of a difficult regional at Ole Miss. They will face Georgia for a trip to Omaha, which I have making it out of their regional.
How fun would a Georgia-Georgia Tech super be?
Baton Rouge/Clemson Regional
LSU versus Clemson.
LSU is certainly one of the most well-rounded teams in the country, and Clemson is a tough opponent, but I’m going with LSU.
Knoxville/Fayetteville Regional
And finally, I have Tennessee headed to Arkansas for an incredible rematch in the super regionals.
MCWS Winner: Arkansas
My eight picks for Omaha are: Vanderbilt, Florida State, North Carolina, Florida, Texas, Georgia, LSU and Arkansas.
As far as the champ pick goes. There are so many teams that could win it, including teams I don’t have as one of the eight picks.
However, I am going with Arkansas to win it all. This is a complete team, top to bottom, 1-9 in the lineup. Junior left-hander Zach Root is leading the way on the mound. I am going with the Razorbacks this year to win it all.
