Unlike last week, when one of the undefeated teams in Illinois Wesleyan suffered a defeat that reduced the unbeaten list of NCAA Division III women’s teams from four to three, the winners kept pace.
Bowdoin, Scranton and NYU continued to win and stay in the top three of the rankings.
This was one of the least drama-filled weeks this season, as most teams either moved up slightly or only fell down a few spots.
The Mission Is Nearly Complete
- Bowdoin finished off its regular season this past weekend with a 24-0 record, with wins on the road against Wesleyan and Trinity by 20 plus points. The Bears will play their first game in the NESCAC tournament quarterfinal at home against Williams College.
- Starting Wednesday, Scranton women’s basketball will look to complete its perfect season with a game against Lycoming College in John Long Center and then a road game against Elizabethtown College on Saturday.
- Defending champion NYU has three more games left on its schedule with a chance at back-to-back undefeated regular seasons. The Violets have Carnegie Mellon and Case Western Reserve at home in John A. Paulson Center this weekend before closing the season against Brandeis on the road on March 1.
