Tennessee is coming off its first-ever College Football Playoff and another season of double-digit wins in 2024, and the offseason preparations began in mid-January after the Vols added 27 newcomers to the program. In addition to four transfer additions from the portal, the new group of players included nearly the entire 2025 recruiting class – 23 of the 25 signees, to be exact – that is ranked No. 11 in the 247Sports team recruiting rankings. Those newcomers, many of whom joined the team for a few practices ahead of the CFP first-round loss at Ohio State, have jumped straight into winter workouts and will go through spring practices when they begin on March 7.
For the seventh straight offseason, GoVols247 will be profiling each of the early enrollees to take an in-depth look at what he can provide for the 2025 team and beyond in our Newcomer Profile series this month.
Kicking off the defensive half of the series is a top-50 prospect in defensive lineman Isaiah Campbell.
