News and notes as Penn State wraps up at the NFL Combine

INDIANAPOLIS — Safety Jaylen Reed will work out and do drills for NFL scouts at Lucas Oil Stadium on Friday. Linebacker Kobe King started drills Thursday, but he didn’t run. Reed will be the lone Nittany Lion to go through the full gauntlet with Abul Carter, Tyler Warren and Kevin Winston Jr. passing on it.

Thus, Penn State’s time at in Indy will come to a close shortly. It was an insightful week, learning more about Carter’s health and draft position, Warren’s workout status and a whole lot more.

Carter and Warren are surefire first-round picks, while the other three shed some light on the grades they’ve received from NFL teams.

PennLive’s Max Ralph and Joe Hermitt were on the scene all week, and Ralph recapped the experience briefly on YouTube. Stay tuned for more content throughout the weekend and next week from the event.
