You can’t spell Netflix without NFL — and on Christmas Day 2025, the action returns with two marquee games that will showcase NFC division rivals facing-off: The Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders, and Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings will stream live on Netflix. The Cowboys vs. Commanders game will air at 1 p.m. ET, from Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, followed by the Lions vs. Vikings at 4:30 p.m. ET, from the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. CBS Sports will produce the games, with NFL Media producing the pre, post, and studio halftime programming.
In 2024, Netflix streamed its first-ever NFL Christmas Gameday with the Chiefs defeating the Steelers 29-10 and the Ravens dominating the Texans 31-2. The showdowns are the two most streamed NFL games in U.S. history, with an average audience of more than 26.5 million viewers in the U.S., and over 30 million viewers globally.
Of course, one of the biggest highlights of Christmas Gameday 2024 was Beyoncé’s unforgettable performance. In her hometown of Houston, Beyoncé debuted her Cowboy Carter album in a jaw-dropping spectacle that featured Post Malone, Shaboozey, Reyna Roberts, Brittney Spencer, and Beyoncé’s own daughter Blue Ivy Carter. Rodeo legends, cultural icons, and over two hundred members of Texas Southern University’s Ocean of Soul Marching Band joined her for a Western-flavored spectacle now dubbed the Beyoncé Bowl — and if you find yourself eager to relive the magic, you can watch it on Netflix now.
How do I watch the NFL on Netflix?
To watch the NFL live on Christmas Gameday, you will need to subscribe to Netflix. Once logged in to your account, the NFL Christmas games are included in all plans. You can log in or subscribe here.
Your subscription will give you access to even more football: Netflix is also home to several upcoming projects with the NFL, including the upcoming installment of Quarterback, which features Jared Goff of the Detroit Lions, and last year’s Receiver, which featured Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings and Amon Ra St. Brown of the Detroit Lions, whose teams will play in the Christmas Day matchups streaming on Netflix.
As part of Netflix’s ongoing relationship with the Dallas Cowboys, also coming this year is America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys, the recently announced Deion Sanders’ series PRIME TIME and Season 2 of America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. The Paul vs. Tyson fight also took place at the Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium last year, streamed by Netflix.
