The 2025 NFL Draft is set for April 24 to 26 in Green Bay. It’s the biggest non-game event in pro sports, being hosted at one of the most iconic venues in the sport. The draft will take place at Lambeau Field, and you can take part in the excitement while also watching the broadcast.
Some of the top sportsbooks in Ohio are featuring future bets for the 2025 NFL Draft. You can wager on everything from which player will be drafted at No. 2 overall by the Browns to what will be the position of the final player selected. We tell you what markets are available to bet on for the NFL Draft. Put your NFL knowledge to a unique test and forecast results on what players will be picked at various points of the selection process.
NFL Draft 2025: What can you bet on this year?
The first overall pick: This is the obvious one that everyone will get in on. Cam Ward is the apparent major favorite at BetMGM Sportsbook, and there’s no inviting payout there. If you want to take a shot that Abdul Carter will be taken first by Tennessee or a team it potentially trades with, then the odds are much more tempting at +550.
And at BetMGM, if your first bet is on Carter and it loses, you can get up to $1500 in bonuses, so don’t hesitate to wager on Carter to be taken first.
Team to make the first overall pick: You can take a fun chance on Tennessee possibly trading the No. 1 overall pick and cash out on bet365. The Titans are at -250 to keep the pick, but the Giants (+225) are a potential trade partner, as they are at No. 3 and desperate for a QB. The Browns are at +750, as trading up one spot to be assured of the QB they want isn’t totally crazy.
The second overall pick: This is a more challenging pick to predict. Many mocks have Carter going to Cleveland at the No. 2 slot, and he is at -130 on BetMGM. But Cleveland.com’s Ashley Bastock has warmed up to the idea of the Browns opting for Sheduer Sanders second overall, which would thrill a lot of fans, and bettors who will go with him at +135.
Team to draft player: Wager on which team will draft Ashton Jeanty or Travis Hunter. The Bears have the best odds to take Jeanty at No. 10 overall, at +150 on bet365. But many mocks have him going to the Raiders sixth overall at +160.
First non-QB drafted: NFL followers are well aware there is a strong chance that two quarterbacks will be taken in the first three picks. The most likely player to be selected first otherwise is Carter, who has the best odds on this future at -350 on bet365. But if you want to risk going with Travis Hunter on this prop, the odds are +275. Hey, there are often nifty surprises on draft day.
You can also bet on if a QB is indeed taken with the first pick, at Yes -550 for Yes, and +350 for No if you want to go the Carter route.
First player drafted at every position: You can wager on the first player selected at various offensive and defensive positions on BetMGM and other sportsbooks. The best way to approach these futures is to avoid the positions where the first player taken will be too obvious. For instance, Ashton Jeanty is at -5000 to be the first RB taken, which does not offer the return you might want.
At wide receiver, you get an interesting twist on BetMGM, as you can bet on the first player drafted after Travis Hunter goes off the board. Tetairoa McMillan is the favorite, at -350, and most mock drafts cite him as the first WR to be drafted after Hunter.
If you know offensive linemen well enough, consider Armand Membou at -185, as he could be a top 10 overall pick. But there is a legitimate chance that Will Campbell, at +185, might be the first offensive lineman drafted.
On defense, there are available futures at all the key positions with distinctive twists in some categories, such as the first defensive back outside of Hunter drafted and the first defensive linemen other than Carter to be picked.
Make sure you study the mock drafts. Also keep in mind that some teams might favor a player and will push him up the board above where logic, widespread projections or needs dictate.
First player drafted by a team: You can bet on the position of the first player selected by various NFL teams on BetMGM, a category that gives you exciting expanded exposure to the event from a wagering perspective. But it won’t be easy, as you can only bet on teams drafting after the sixth spot in the first round.
As one example, the Cincinnati Bengals are picking 17th in the first round. Two of their biggest needs are defensive line/edge and safety. You can bet on them taking an edge rusher at -120, which is a respectable possible payout.
But consider taking a chance on the Bengals to go with a safety at +800. You can also bet on the Browns’ other AFC North rivals, such as Pittsburgh and Baltimore, in this futures category.
Exact Position of Mr. Irrelevant: This is the Brock Purdy category, and is more for fun than actually being predictable. Defensive lineman/edge is the position that has the best odds at +325 on bet365, and Offensive Lineman is at +400.
