The NFL will kick off Super Bowl weekend in New Orleans by turning the spotlight on youth and high school football.
Through the NFL Play Football Family Festival, the next generation of football players and their families will be able to engage with the New Orleans Saints and Super Bowl team cheerleaders and mascots, plus test their skills on obstacle courses, enjoy food trucks, giveaways, and more.
“The Play Football Family Festival is a free event offered to communities in the neighboring city of the Super Bowl location,” said Roman Oben, NFL vice president of football development, in a statement. “This is our fifth year presenting the event which offers families a chance to enjoy the festivities that are shared during the week of the game. We are elated to host the Play Football Family Festival at Hahnville High School and make an impact in the Boutte, Louisiana community and beyond. We are dedicated to our youth and high school football communities and this year’s event will offer participants the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game from current and former NFL players and coaches.”
This year’s event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT on Saturday, Feb. 8 — learn more here.
