Player Comparison: Mazi Smith
Adams finished out his senior season at Florence (S.C.) South with 75 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, six sacks, and one forced fumble in 15 games. He’s poised to “play right away” in Death Valley this season and has been compared to former Michigan star Mazi Smith, a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
“Game-wrecking interior defensive lineman that mixes together mass, power and athleticism,” Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins wrote in Adams’ scouting report. “Light on his feet for someone that enters college around 315 pounds and can resemble a dancing bear at times with his coordination and balance.”
