Forwards

Dylan Strome, C, WSH vs. MON (43% rostered)
Connor McMichael, C, WSH vs. MON (11% rostered)

Still lots of rest-of-season value for Strome, whom I’ve covered in just about every game so far this season. He’s up to 11 points in eight games and the Caps look like they’re for real. One reason for that is their improved depth, and that includes McMichael, who’s scored four goals in his past five games and settled in quite nicely on the Caps’ second line.

Gustav Nyquist, LW, NSH vs. EDM (21% rostered)

Nyquist can be extremely streaky so I’d stream him while he’s still red-hot. He’s scored all five of his points this season in his past five games as the Preds have woken up from their early-season lull. Though the Preds have broken up their top line, Nyquist still has quality linemates in Steven Stamkos on the opposite wing.

Troy Terry, RW, ANA at PIT (20% rostered)

Very quietly, Terry has been on an eight-game points streak and really starting to get top-six ice time after playing 14 minutes in each of the first two games of the season. He shoots the puck a modest amount and doesn’t offer much else, but he’s generated a large portion of the Ducks’ offense and they’re facing an opponent that’s having a lot of trouble keeping pucks out of their net.

Matty Beniers, C, SEA at TOR (16% rostered)

Kudos if you’ve held onto Beniers to this point. It was a frustrating start to the season with only one helper in seven games but Beniers is now on a three-game points streak with two goals and five points. This was supposed to be Beniers’ true breakout season, and that potential still holds true. The Leafs have allowed 19 goals in their past four games.

Rickard Rakell, C/RW, PIT vs. ANA (16% rostered)

The Pens are expected to roll with the same lines again, which means Rakell remains with Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. He scored two goals against the Wild and there’s a very good chance Rakell finds the score sheet again playing with the Pens’ top two players against his former team. He’s played close to 20 minutes per game in the pats two games and also offers a modest amount of hits and blocks.

Fabian Zetterlund, LW/RW, SJ vs. CHI (15% rostered)
Alex Wennberg, C, SJ vs. CHI (1% rostered)

Mikael Granlund is finally rostered in over 50 percent of Yahoo leagues, so that leaves Zetterlund, who plays with Granlund on PP1 and with Wennberg on L2. Zetterlund is averaging well over two shots per game and scored three goals in his past two games, while Wennberg has scored all five of his points this season in his past four games. I don’t expect Wennberg’s hot streak to last for very long, but Zetterlund has some rest-of-season value as one of the Sharks’ go-to shooters. This is a good matchup since neither team are particularly good defensively.

Philipp Kurashev, C/RW, CHI at SJ (5% rostered)

Kurashev’s had an up-and-down season and after briefly sitting as a healthy scratch finds himself on Connor Bedard’s line once again. He has just two goals with a minus-7 rating so far this season, but playing with Bedard means Kurashev’s ice time will surely increase. He played 18:01 in a 5-2 win in Colorado, the second time he’s played at least 18 minutes this season and responded with a goal for the increased ice time.

Defensemen

Philip Broberg, D, STL at PHI (27% rostered)

Broberg has been excellent all season and his fantasy value will continue to creep up with PP1 minutes. The Blues have split up their power play and now have Broberg with the first unit, and in Tuesday’s ugly 8-1 loss to the Sens, assisted on the Blues’ lone goal on the power play and played a season-high 24:39.

Jake Walman, D, SJ vs. CHI (5% rostered)

It was a slooow start for Walman with just two assists in his first nine games but he’s up to eight points in 11 games this season thanks to back-to-back three-point efforts.

Note the Sharks had been using five forwards on PP1, which certainly hurt Walman’s value when he was dropped from the top unit, but Walman may move up to PP1 again with the Sharks acquiring Timothy Liljegren late Thursday from the Leafs because it now gives them the option to potentially play Walman on PP1 and both Liljegren and Jack Thompson on PP2.

Honorable mention:

Jordan Eberle, RW, SEA at TOR (19% rostered) – L1, PP1
Emil Heineman, LW, MON at WSH (0% rostered) – L1
Matt Grzelcyk, D, PIT vs. ANA (0% rostered) – L1, PP2
