A new moment is upon us in women’s hoops. To meet this moment, The Athletic is upping its game on our premiere women’s basketball podcast — bringing listeners the in-depth analysis and exclusive interviews they’ve come to expect, alongside new segments, playful debates and games, and conversations around the hottest issues surrounding women’s basketball today.

Host Zena Keita – a former college basketball player and basketball analyst – will guide the conversation among co-hosts and The Athletic staff writers Chantel Jennings, Ben Pickman and Sabreena Merchant, who cover the WNBA and women’s college basketball year-round.

On Tuesdays, Zena and the co-hosts will talk through all the big news and gameplay that unfolded over the weekend. We’ll also check in with Sabreena about her weekly power rankings. Then, the hosts will do a deep dive into timely and relevant topics — debating conference awards, WNBA Draft prospects, the latest in the transfer portal, or breaking down the biggest Final Four moments. They’ll close episodes with a game, listener mailbag questions or short debate, and look forward to the week ahead.

Fridays will be the space for exclusive, in-depth interviews with players, coaches and the biggest newsmakers in the sport. It will also be a space for playful longer debates between the co-hosts – like, who’s the all-time GOAT? What’s the best NCAA dynasty? Who deserves NCAA Player of the Year? Always, Zena and the co-host will start things off with a run-down of all the important news and games that happened over the week, before jumping into the featured segment – and closing out the show with a look-ahead to what’s happening over the weekend.

No Offseason is free for all, on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube. Subscribe to listen and watch all the action.
