An in interesting concept, Pro Football Focus created an all-class draft if everyone was eligible, and one Notre Dame football star made it into the first round.
Cornerback Leonard Moore is coming off a season where he was nationally recognized, and it looks like the Irish will have yet another defensive back getting selected early in the draft. Max Chadwick and Dalton Wasserman complied the list, which had the Notre Dame star as the No. 24 player off the board.
Moore had already been named as the top returning cornerback in college by PFF, and now this honor puts him among the nation’s elite. He finished third among its Wins Above Average metric, trailing only Texas’ Jahdae Barron and Colorado’s Travis Hunter. It’s great company to be in, as both of them are expected to be early selections in this coming draft.
The potential for Moore is off the charts, as he could be one of the most decorated Notre Dame defensive backs ever if he continues his current path. It’s safe to say the Irish have yet another lock-down corner for the next two seasons.
