It’s pretty safe to say that Notre Dame football is on a hot steak in the transfer portal.
On Saturday, the Irish added three new transfer players in kicker Noah Burnette, and defensive linemen Jared Dawson and Elijah Hughes. The good times continued on Sunday afternoon, as Notre Dame again went to the ACC and got a commitment from former Virginia Tech safety Jalen Stroman.
This past season was a lost one for the 6-foot, 1-inch and 200-pound defender, as a shoulder injury didn’t allow him to see the field much. Stroman took a medical redshirt, and along with being a graduate transfer, will have two seasons to play in South Bend if he opts to use both of them.
Stroman has played in 36 career games, with 112 tackles, 5 passes defended and two forced fumbles. He will add some depth to the Irish secondary, on that will have to replaced safety Xavier Watts and most likely star cornerback Benjamin Morrison.
