Notre Dame football made its newest offer to a 2027 prospect on Tuesday, as Hawaii linebacker Toa Satele was given a scholarship.
The 6-foot, 3-inch and 200-pound prospect is already ranked by the 247Sports Composite, checking in as the No. 126 overall player in his class. Satele is viewed as the top player in his state as well, as he could also line up as a rush end, but will more than likely end up as a linebacker.
His father, Samson, played for Hawaii and was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the second round of the 2007 NFL draft. Satele has a very impressive early offer list which includes Texas, Oklahoma, Michigan, Oregon, USC and others.
Football runs in the family, as his younger brother Triston will also be a nationally recruited prospect. Toa is the focus for Notre Dame at the moment, as the linebacker legacy is very strong in South Bend. It will be tough to lure him away from the West coast, but if there is one school that has a great chance, it’s the Irish.
