Notre Dame football has an eye on the future, and it’s shown that in the recent days with multiple offers out to 2027 prospects.
That trend continued on Wednesday night, as a scholarship was sent out to Tennessee linebacker Omarii Sanders. He’s got a great frame at 6-foot, 4-inches and 210-pounds, the prototype middle linebacker build.
Sanders recruiting ranking lives up to his size, as the 247Sports Composite Rankings has him as the No. 55 overall prospect of the 2027 class. It’s not a surprise that he holds plenty of other offers which include Georgia, Ohio State, Oregon, Oklahoma, Texas and others. It’s a virtually who’s who of college football.
It won’t be easy for Notre Dame to lure Sanders up North, but the offer shows they are very interesting in him joining the program. There is plenty of time for the Irish to make up some ground in his recruitment, and it is surely one to monitor going forward.
