Success typically impresses recruits, and that is exactly what has happened for Notre Dame football in the recent weeks.
The Irish made the College Football Playoff and are one win away from a championship, and with that comes the eyes of the whole college football world. You have to believe that head coach Marcus Freeman is going to try and capitalize on this season’s success, and that will start on the recruiting trail.
Find out below a quick update on what is happening for Notre Dame on the recruiting trail.
Signee Christopher Burgess dominated All-Star game
The defensive end was at the Under Armour All-America game his past weekend and absolutely dominate the competition as he was named as a prospect whose stock rose by On3. It was an impressive showing for Burgess, who will come into the program already posing a college-ready frame.
Not to be outdone, but offensive tackle Will Black performed well also
One of my favorite 2025 Irish signees, Black has an extremely high ceiling, and is just scratching the surface of what he can be. There is no doubt in my mind that he will continue to improve over the course of his Notre Dame career, with potential to be the next first-round NFL draft pick. Black was named as a top overall performer, along with Burgess.
2026 safety Zech Fort narrow his list to six schools
The Irish made the list for elite safety, as Fort now is focusing on just 6 schools going forward. It’s quite an impressive list, and it won’t be easy for Notre Dame to win out in his recruitment.
2026 defensive end Tiki Hola trims list to 5 teams
Hola is now just focusing on five schools, with Notre Dame included. Virtually all of his finalist were in this year’s CFP field. Hola plays on the interior, and would be a big time recruiting win for the Irish.
Every early enrolling player from the 2025 class
With the spring semester starting, Notre Dame will welcome in a crow of new players from the 2025 class. On3’s Tyler Horka shared a full list of every player, and the likelihood of them contributing early has increased due to already being on campus.
