Notre Dame Football recruiting is red hot

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – One of the best high school running backs in the country chose Notre Dame over Michigan Saturday.

Javian Osborne of Forney, Texas had scholarship offers from Ohio State, Georgia, Alabama, Texas and many others, but he had narrowed his choice down to just Notre Dame and Michigan.

His commitment came just one day after a highly rated linebacker from Cincinnati committed to the Irish over both Ohio State and Michigan, along with many other offers.

Ja’Kobe Clapper played at St Xavier in Cincy and he had offers from almost every major college football power.

The Fighting Irish have landed six highly regarded recruits since the beginning of April and now have a top five 2026 recruiting class in every major recruiting ratings service

Many recruiting experts believe Notre Dame’s run through the College Football Playoffs last year is having an impact, plus Marcus Freeman is known as a great recruiter who has emphasized the importance of recruiting really good players.
