SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – The Notre Dame women’s basketball team is continuing to rebuild its decimated roster, as the Fighting Irish added another player from the transfer portal on Wednesday.
According to multiple reports, Gisela Sanchez is heading to South Bend from Kansas State.
The 6-foot-4 forward from Barcelona, Spain, averaged 4.2 points and 3.1 rebounds per game for the Wildcats last season as a junior.
She’ll have one season of eligibility at Notre Dame.
Sanchez is the second addition to Notre Dame’s roster from the transfer portal after the Irish picked up a commitment from ex-Wake Forest forward Malaya Cowles last Friday.
