ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) – Odessa College Baseball head coach David Wood collected his 100th career win on April 4 with a 10-0 win against Frank Phillips College.
It was the first of a four-game sweep that weekend. Odessa College is 26-9, as of April 11, in Wood’s first season at the helm.
Prior to Odessa College, Wood was the head coach at the University of St. Thomas and San Jacinto College.
He had a hard time stepping out of the coach mindset, saying it was all for his players.
In the second game of April 4th’s doubleheader, two Odessa College pitchers, Daniel Lopez and Jack Barr, combined for a no-hitter, winning 1-0.
