
Ohio State women’s basketball head coach Kevin McGuff faces an OVI charge from May 6.
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State women’s basketball head coach Kevin McGuff was charged with an OVI last week, according to the Mayor’s Court page.
McGuff, who lives in Dublin, was charged on May 6 by the Dublin Police Department. Additional information was not yet provided.
The Ohio State Department of Athletics issued a statement Monday saying that they are aware of the incident involving McGuff.
“The department is in communication with Coach McGuff and monitoring the situation closely. This is an ongoing, personal legal matter, and the department will share additional information at the appropriate time,” the statement read.

McGuff was selected last year as the Big Ten Coach of the Year. Before coaching at Ohio State, he led the Washington Huskies and was the head coach at Xavier for nine seasons.
