Thunder’s Jalen Williams: Sniffs double-double Sunday
Rotowire
Oct 28, 2024
Williams notched 20 points (8-17 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-8 FT), nine rebounds, five assists and two steals in 33 minutes during Sunday’s 128-104 victory over the Hawks.
Williams didn’t post the same elite numbers that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren delivered in this 24-point blowout win, but he reached the 20-point plateau and ended just one rebound shy of a double-double. Williams is firmly entrenched as one of the Thunder‘s top three scoring options with the aforementioned duo. He’s scored at least 20 points while grabbing nine boards in his last two appearances, so he remains an absolute stud in fantasy as well.

Thunder’s Chet Holmgren: Standout two-way effort Sunday
Rotowire
Oct 28, 2024
Holmgren supplied 25 points (8-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 6-8 FT), nine rebounds, four assists, six blocks and one steal over 33 minutes during Sunday’s 128-104 victory over the Hawks.
Holmgren didn’t repeat Saturday’s output in the win against the Bulls when he grabbed 16 boards, but he did an excellent job of filling out the stat sheet in this one. The six blocks were just two shy of his career-best mark, set as a rookie in 2023-24, and his numbers have been eye-popping to begin the campaign. He’s scored 20-plus points in each of his first three appearances this season, while recording multiple blocks each time and grabbing double-digit rebounds twice.

Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: Posts monster line in win
Rotowire
Oct 28, 2024
Gilgeous-Alexander ended Sunday’s 128-104 victory over the Hawks with 35 points (11-24 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 10-11 FT), 11 rebounds, nine assists, three blocks and three steals over 36 minutes.
Gilgeous-Alexander delivered another impressive showing Sunday and outplayed Trae Young in a battle between two of the most productive point guards in the early stages of the season. This was Gilgeous-Alexander’s first double-double of the campaign, and the fact that he ended just one assist shy of a triple-double shows how impactful he was on both ends of the court. It’s still early in the campaign, but the Thunder star is already averaging 28.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 3.0 steals and 2.0 blocks per game to open the 2024-25 season.

Thunder’s Jalen Williams: Sniffs triple-double Saturday
Rotowire
Oct 27, 2024
Williams recorded 24 points (10-22 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), nine rebounds and eight assists across 32 minutes in Saturday’s 114-95 win over the Bulls.
Williams didn’t have his best performance in the season-opening win over the Nuggets on Thursday, but he bounced back admirably here — he led OKC in scoring and finished just one rebound and two assists away from a triple-double. Williams will battle with Chet Holmgren for the No. 2 role on offense behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but even if that role fluctuates as the season progresses, Williams should remain relevant in all fantasy formats due to his scoring prowess and ability to stuff the stat sheet with relative ease.

Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: Stuffs stat sheet Saturday
Rotowire
Oct 27, 2024
Gilgeous-Alexander notched 23 points (9-21 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and four steals across 30 minutes in Saturday’s 114-95 win over the Bulls.
Gilgeous-Alexander was one of three Thunder players who scored 20-plus points in this win, and while he didn’t fill the stat sheet as well as he did in Thursday’s season-opening win over the Nuggets, he still delivered an impressive performance. Gilgeous-Alexander’s ability to stuff the stat sheet while being an excellent scorer makes him a stud in fantasy across all formats — even on off nights like Saturday during which his shot isn’t falling.

Thunder’s Chet Holmgren: Grabs career-high 16 boards
Rotowire
Oct 27, 2024
Holmgren delivered 21 points (8-18 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 5-8 FT), 16 rebounds, a steal and two blocks across 29 minutes in Saturday’s 114-95 win over the Bulls.
The second-year big man recorded a career-high mark in rebounds in this game, and he’s picking things up right where he left them off following an impressive rookie season in 2023-24. Holmgren has opened the 2024-25 campaign on a strong note with at least 20 points and 14 boards in his first two outings. With no competition for playing time due to the injury of Isaiah Hartenstein (hand), Holmgren should consistently see upwards of 30 minutes on a regular basis, making him a double-double threat every time he steps on the court.

Thunder’s Jalen Williams: Inefficient in win
Rotowire
Oct 25, 2024
Williams registered 12 points (5-16 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 0-1 FT), three rebounds, three assists and three blocks in 34 minutes during Thursday’s 102-87 victory over the Nuggets.
Williams logged a full workload despite suffering an ankle injury in the preseason. However, the 23-year-old forward recorded more turnovers (five) than assists (three). Still, Williams made a strong defensive impact in the Thunder‘s victory and should have an offensive breakout eventually.
