South Carolina ranks first, with UConn, Texas, and UCLA rounding out the top five. The Tigers’ ranking reflects their commitment to retooling their roster following a mass exodus in their frontcourt.
To fill holes left by All-American Aneesah Morrow and starter Sa’Myah Smith, LSU secured commitments from Notre Dame transfer Kate Koval and ECU transfer Amiya Joyner. The pair of forwards brings a balance of experience and size to a team stacked on the perimeter.
Starters Flau’Jae Johnson and Mikaylah Williams return for another season under head coach Kim Mulkey in addition to coveted transfer MiLaysia Fulwiley, who won a national championship with the Gamecocks.
All three excelled in high pressure SEC and NCAA Tournament games, meaning they set expectations high for the program.
