Oregon State men’s basketball adds 7-2 center in transfer portal

Oregon State has added a towering center in the transfer portal.

Coastal Carolina transfer Noah Amenhauser announced his commitment to the Beavers on Saturday. Amenhauser, standing at 7-2, averaged 10.8 points and six rebounds per game last season for the Chanticleers.

Amenhauser just completed his sophomore year of college, having spent one season at Grand Canyon University and another with Coastal Carolina. He is originally from Goodyear, Arizona, where he averaged 21.9 points per game as a three-star prospect his senior year.

Amenhauser put up a career-high 26 points on Feb. 26 against Georgia State. He shot 63.6% from the field on the season.

OSU added Southern Indiana forward Stephen Olowoniyi in the portal earlier in the week, and is seeking to rebuild after having its lineup decimated by portal departures. The Beavers lost all of their starters to major NIL paydays, and this week former OSU player DaJohn Craig committed to Amenhauser’s former school in Coastal Carolina.

Seven total scholarship players including five starters hit the portal for OSU this offseason. Amenhauser is the second transfer addition.
