Following a meeting on Monday morning, Penn State’s Board of Trustees approved a proposal for Beaver Stadium’s field to be renamed West Shore Home Field at Beaver Stadium.
Vice president for Intercollegiate Athletics Pat Kraft spoke to the panel and said discussions for the naming rights of the field started last summer.
The gift agreement will be $50 million from 2025-2039, roughly $3.3 million per year over that span.
It’s the latest step in keeping up with the changing college football landscape, and will provide a major boost to the football funding efforts.
The motion was passed with a 22-8 vote.
