PFF names ‘perfect’ 2025 NFL draft prospect for the Bills

With the Buffalo Bills eliminated from the postseason, the team now shifts to offseason tasks.  Buffalo now looks toward bolstering its roster through the draft.

In this early stage of the offseason, outlets are getting the ball rolling and exploring prospect fits for NFL teams.

Pro Football Focus sees a defensive player as the perfect prospect. The organization named Texas A&M edge rusher Shemar Stewart as fitting with this criteria for Buffalo. Here’s what PFF had to say about Stewart:

Shemar Stewart is 6-foot-6 and 290 pounds and at this point in his development, he is a stellar run defender with a 88.2 run-defense grade and an improving pass-rusher who generated 39 pressures in 2024. Pairing Shemar Stewart with Rousseau not only aids the youth movement up front but possibly gives the Bills the flexibility to deal with Rousseau’s upcoming contract extension demands.

Stewart’s frame and analytical numbers show a bit better than his raw numbers. The junior recorded 1.5 sacks in each of the past three seasons. Stewart registered a personal best 31 tackles in 2024.

Buffalo has Von Miller, Greg Rousseau, AJ Epenesa, and Javon Solomon under contract for next season. The Bills will have a major decision to make with Miller, as the team can potentially move on from the veteran with a dead cap hit of $15.4 million.
