Alabama opened Sunday as a 2.5-point road favorite over LSU on BetMGM for Saturday night’s game in Baton Rouge.
The Tide has been favored in every game over LSU since 2008. The last time Alabama was an underdog to LSU was 2007, when Alabama lost by seven points to the 6.5-point favorite Tigers.
Alabama enters Saturday night’s game ranked No. 11 in the coaches poll, while LSU is No. 13. The College Football Playoff selection committee will release its initial rankings Tuesday night, but the game is expected to effectively eliminate the loser from playoff contention.
ESPN’s College Gameday will broadcast live from Baton Rouge on Saturday morning, and the game in Tiger Stadium kicks off at 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
