EUGENE, Ore. — Jordan Burch and Terrance Ferguson took part in all parts of practice media took in during the early periods of Tuesday’s session. Ferguson fielded a few kicks and Burch handled several reps of positional work while media watched.
This follows a day on Monday in which Dan Lanning said both players had practiced, but remained questionable for Saturday’s game at Michigan.
“I think we have guys who are questionable, that are going to practice with it this this week,” Lanning said at his Monday press conference. “Both those guys were available to practice [on Monday], but we’ll again, put our player’s best interest in mind as we prepare for this week.”
Neither player has seen the field in recent weeks. Burch has missed the last three games following a practice injury in the lead up to the Ohio State win, while Ferguson had his appendix removed days before the victory at Purdue, and did not play in the last two wins.
It appears offensive lineman Dave Iuli could be closing in on a return as well. Iuli has not played this season due to a foot injury suffered in spring camp. He was listed as questionable for the Illinois game, and was in cleats and took part fully in Tuesday’s practice as well.
The day’s work did not appear to include wide receiver Gary Bryant Jr. or cornerback Jahlil Florence. Both players have missed the entire season after being full-time starters in 2023.
Both Atticus Sappington and Andrew Boyle split the uprights on pressure kicks. The kicks were in the 40-45 yard range and were successful despite sirens blaring over the PA system.
Oregon’s quarterbacks were dialed in during passing drills, with Dillon Gabriel, Dante Moore and Austin Novosad exhibiting accuracy from distance. Will Stein even joined the accuracy competition himself and completed three of four passes.
Scouts from the Miami Dolphins, Pittsburgh Steelers, Chicago Bears, Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalos Bills were present.
