Ranking college basketball’s 10 best jobs: Duke still high, BYU joins after AJ Dybantsa signing

The Final Four’s last remaining blueblood went down Saturday night after Duke’s stunning loss to Houston. The Cougars advanced to the national championship game against Florida for only the third time in program history. Duke remains one of college basketball’s top 10 jobs, however, marking its territory with another deep run in March Madness.

“Best jobs” equates to those in position to be successful as a perennial contender, have expansive brand appeal and fan support along with the overall health of the program. All it takes is one difference-making signing class or portal haul and these programs always seem to have a shot to cut down the nets.

Analysts and insiders around the sport offered their input in this ranking and which jobs they would categorize as the nation’s best. Tradition played a major impact, along with resources, revenue sharing strengths and NIL offerings. The notables to miss the cut included Memphis, Illinois, Florida and Texas.
