The Mets have agreed to a three-year, $75 million contract with fan favorite lefthander Sean Manaea, a source confirmed on Monday morning. The deal is pending a physical.
Manaea, 32, went 12-6 with a 3.47 ERA in 2024 after signing a two-year, $28-million free agent deal with the Mets before the season. Manaea opted out of the second year of the deal to test the free agent market.
Manaea joins a rotation that includes Kodai Senga, David Peterson, Frankie Montas and Clay Holmes with depth arms such as Tylor Megill, Paul Blackburn and Griffin Canning.
