After tying her career-high scoring total with 34 points in a 77-60 win over St. Thomas (MN) on Jan. 9, Larkins took things up a notch on Saturday, pouring in 45 points, the most in a single game in South Dakota history as the Coyotes defeated Omaha 71-66. Rose Micheaux, Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech senior forward Rose Micheaux helped the Hokies to two victories last week with a pair of 20-point performances, her first such games in Atlantic Coast Conference play in her career.

On Jan. 9 at No. 13 Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech rallied from nine points down in the third quarter to hand the Yellow Jackets their first loss of the season, winning 105-94. Micheaux notched a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds and was a part of a starting five that all scored 17 or more points in the game, a first for the program. The 105 points scored was the most in an ACC game in program history.

Sunday afternoon, Micheaux again was a part of history as she went 9-for-9 from the field in a 20-point performance as Virginia Tech defeated Wake Forest 61-54. The nine field goals without a miss tied a program record for a single game.

The Hokies, 12-4 overall and 3-2 in ACC play, are back in action on Thursday, hosting rival Virginia.

She surpassed 2,500 career points in the win, and it also marked her 90th career double-double, tied for the third most in Division I history.

In LSU’s 83-77 win over Vanderbilt on Monday, the 6-1 senior forward scored 23 points and hauled in 15 rebounds, her eighth 20-15 game this season. It was Morrow’s ninth consecutive double-double and 17th this season as she surpassed 1,500 career rebounds. Morrow became the eighth player in DI history to hit both career marks of 2,500 career points and 1,500 career rebounds. Now with 91 career double-doubles, the next one will put Morrow in a tie for second most in DI history with Oregon’s Jillian Alleyne (2013-16).
