Well, at least it’s over.
The Phillies got thoroughly outplayed by the Mets and were swept out of New York. They led for exactly one half inning all series, and it was the tenth inning yesterday. They had just 3 extra base hits across all three games. Their big bats of Bryce Harper, Trea Turner, Kyle Schwarber, and Nick Castellanos went a combined 5-53 with 15 strikeouts.
The good news? The team is off today so they can’t hurt you. But the Phillies will resume tomorrow for the first of three in Chicago as they look to end their four-game losing streak.
On to the links.
